This is a very interesting record on Mysore History of the period of Krishnaraja Wodeyar III, how the Britishers annexed the State's administration on exaggerated reports and how harshly they treated the ruler, repeatedly refusing to restore his powers and going to the extent of initially declining permission to adopt a successor as he had no issues. Very revealing indeed. A book worth reading for all those interested in Mysore History.
