Fabulous photographer. Is it just me, or does anybody else think that in acquiring the ability to capture things in colour, we lost some of the beauty in photography? The old black and white photographs have such depth compared to coloured ones. Or is it just that we focus on the content of the image more, without the distraction of colour?

I hope you will also read the chapter on the Birth of the Two Nations (that ends around page 199) and the moving story of Gandhiji's assassination. This should remind us of what Camus warned: The Nazi germ never dies; it merely hides between the pages of books and reappears when conditions are ripe. We should learn from Gandhiji's sacrifice, and not try to justify its resurgence in various forms
