I remember being shown several files of D/O ( Demi Official ) correspondence, circa 1946 -48 , exchanged between the top management of the snooty Brit Bank we worked for and their London HO . Some of this correspondence was very revealing ....particularly those concerning Cayley who had just been seconded by them , to the R.B.I. ..to draw up the entire Indian Exchange Control system .
