I use archive.org a lot for downloading books, but I have installed the djvu plugin on my computer because not only are the files generally smaller than pdf, but it's easy to copy and paste text from the djvu versions when I'm taking notes. :)

It is very interesting to see/read how the English struggled with trying to understand the Indian psyche and explain the vanishing gold and silver from the bullion!?!

Lynne : Thanks for this useful tip ! This will help me greatly when I am posting the Book Extracts on this page. Hopefully....will reduce the drudgery.

In fact I was short of time. I was intrested in reading it in full. I will see if I can do that. Economics,read from "The Wealth of Nations by Adam Smith" onwards to the present day, would really give a clear idea of the concepts developed, therein.

My pleasure - I found this out through trial and a lot of errors! Also, if you want to take text out of pdf files, use foxit reader rather than adobe. But djvu is better. :)

@Lynne, could you help me too, i too face problem in loading, a naive too...
