amazing
It is remarkable that the British surveyors had come up with such an accurate map of India by 1752. There are just two minor errors, one in Cutch and the other in Malay peninsula. It is, however, quite possible that the sea has submerged some coastal areas since then. After all, the Maldive Islands and much of Bangladesh are expected to be under the sea in a few decades.
