Asaf al-Daula (Nawab of Oudh) at a cock-fight with Europeans; a watercolor by a Lucknow artist, c.1830-35; this painting most likely depicts the famous cockfight between Asaf al-Daula and Colonel Mordaunt which took place at Lucknow in 1786.

i think reference to this has been made in "THE WHITE MUGHALS" too...its an intersting read i believe where we come to know more of the likes of the lord ochterlony and the famous james skinner,the sumrus.(the pictures of latter i have desperatly searched online)
