Nandalal Bose was deeply influenced by the murals of the Ajanta Caves - his house in Calcutta - http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/8/86/House_of_Nandalal_Bose.JPG/1024px-House_of_Nandalal_Bose.JPG
Also Bagh Caves. At Bhopal museum, you can see Nandlal Bose's sketches of Bagh Caves. Many murals have not survived & all we have left now , is Bose's work including one big 12 feet long sketch ..
