While reading the final page-proof I learned of the publication by Prabodh Chandra Sengupta of a translation of the Aryabhatiya in the Journal of the Department of Letters (Calcutta University), XVI ยท(1927). Unfortunately it has not been possible to make use of it in the present publication.
