Rare Book Society of India it's not chittur (which is in south india) it's chittor/chittorgarh (rajasthan)

Yuvraj Singh Charan: Spellings have changed over time. The town in Andhra Pradesh is spelt as Chittoor today. Chittor in 1874 was also spelt as Chittur.

I agree. But perhaps Chittor is a preferable spelling because most people recognize this spelling today.

Vijay Stambh and Kirti Stambh, both Pillars are there in Chittorgarh Fort. But, the one in this pic. is Vijay Stambh not Kirti stambh.
