But what is the identity of the king who is retreating and another king is seen with folded hands before Krishna. Slain soldiers look like Mogol soldiers? Is there any Myth or History behind this Painting? It will be nice if there are some details available.

The painting depicts lord krishna and rukmini after their marriage being chased by shishupal and rukmi,,,lord krishna defeats both and while rukmi acknowledges lord krishna,shisupal is running away from battle scene...after this event,lord shiva is sought to bless the newly married couple...
