Govt. of India should object to the auction of these Indian artefacts as most of them were taken away from India freely and claim their return as some countries are reportedly doing now.
Frankly speaking, if these artefacts return to India now, they will be destroyed due to official apathy & corruption. Let them be part of private collections where they will be taken good care of.
Absolutely Achintya Nath Sexena! If one truly loves these treasures...one would want them to be preserved and protected so that they would last for another generation or two. Patriotism and apathy just don't go together...but people don't get it.
