Tumburu ..another celestial minstrel is also 'horse-headed'

it's beautiful!the only thing i was wondering, would it be more appropriate if we we talk of "a deity in hindu/aryan/non-aryan/vedic/non-vedic culture" instead of "a deity in indian culture"?!

A very unique idol thanks

"a deity in hindu/aryan/non-aryan/vedic/non-vedic culture" - why are we so confused about our heritage? Coming from TN, a community very close to Hayagriva worship I was thrilled to fine a Hayagrib Madhab temple in Assam which is worshipped by both Hindus and Buddhists

horse? looks more like a dragon

TELL US MORE ABOUT THE DEITY.

Today is Haygriva Jayanti.

Fascinating and beautiful. You can't discover India enough.

dont mix the two: one male and one female deity:

This icon of Hayagriva is conventional type to represent the Vedic -northwestern frontier of early Indian culture but represented much later by twelveth-thirteenth century Kulu -Manali art motif.

This was very educative.Thank you.

We now know him as Hrithik Roshan.
