Watercolour painting on paper of Hayagriva, considered to be the 18th incarnation of Viṣṇu. He is shown with a horse’s head on a golden skinned human body. He wears a pink dhoti with a matching shawl draped over his shoulders. A string of beads hangs around his neck. He has four arms; his upper right hand carries the conch and his lower right hand carries the discus. In his upper left hand he holds the mace against his shoulder and in his lower left hand he carries a lotus flower. He stands in a flat landscape with a small shadow indicated at his feet. The painting is surrounded by a black border.
