'Rukmana'? Rukmi was the name.
You are right Sumedha! ...Error has been corrected.
It was Rukmini who eloped with Krishna! On a lighter vein, the mention of Rukmini does not fail to bring to my mind A R Rahman's song "Rukmani, Rukmani, shadi ke bad kyakya hua" from the film Roja.
There are Two concepts here :: (1) Even the 'High & Mighty" Krishna wasn't allowed to do as he liked; (2) A girl could not do it her way Without endorsement of her family or guardians!
