Gouache painting on mica of Durgā pūjā. Priests worshipping the goddess Durgā in a pandal. The pandal is decorated with chandeliers and a colourful ceiling. In the centre,is the raised statue of Durgā and her children Sarasvatī, Karthika, Ganesha and Lakṣmī. On the ground at the base of the statue lie offerings. Two priests kneel on mats facing each other chanting. A third priest is prostrated. At each side, lining the walls, two rows of priests at prayer. The first row kneels while the second stands. Some are holding ringing bells and blowing conch shells.

Beautiful. Would love to see the textures in the actual painting.
