What a beautiful festival of colour 250 years later! Who owns this today? Any records?

This painting which is a part of the Gentil records is at the Victoria & Albert Museum, London.

The reason for this post:... It was under Muhammad Shah's patronage did Maharaja Jai Singh build the Jantar Mantar observatories.

>> It was under Muhammad Shah's patronage did Maharaja Jai Singh build the Jantar Mantar observatories. RBSI >> I wonder if patronage is the right word to describe the relationship between Sawai Jai SIngh II, and Muhammad Shah. Muhammad Shah had long ceased to be able to offer patronage to anyone, let alone Raja of Amber during the period under question.
