I was also very fond of Marathi Proverbs because I found them very witty and funny but It was amazing to know that a Britisher had actually written a book on Marathi Proverbs

Many of the proverbs draw heavily - in style and content both - from rural-agrarian life and experiences (naturally, from a vast majority of its speakers), that too of an era that has gone by, and therefore would seem totally strange to an urban reader. Even then, it is an interesting document. Thank you, RBSI.
