This an excellent work on Vijayanagar. Contains descriptions of Vijayanagar Empire by other foreign visitors as well. An authoritative work by a foreign scholar as it records the events of the period. A must for all those interested in Vijayanagar History.
This is a good picture showing a tower on the stone chariot, which is missing now. These Mantaps or halls have been restored, but sadly with little imagination.
