Though I see and hear the song of the nightingale and the harsh call of the crow, I miss the little sparrows and the nocturnal owls. Once a way, I spot a colourful parrot flying from the Aswatha tree near my home. I also miss the 100s of parrots that were flying back to their abode in the tall trees on Mysore's main road, Sayaji Rao Road! Development has shun away a lot of birds and made my day dull!
from a distance - never visited India - the bird most associated with India for me is the beautiful peacock with the loud and noisy call of the male!
