... It will be interesting to observe, over the course of the next five years, how or if the Indian government authorities will choose to commemorate ( or choose not to commemorate - as the case may be) their own ' fallen ' from the apocalypse of 1914-18... More than seventy thousand servicemen from the sub-continent lost their lives in that ghastly war - and it really is quite a tragedy that the record of their fortitude and bravery has been so carefully expunged from the collective, ' post-colonial ' memory bank of modern India ...

That's because the rulers of the kingom India had the emotional quiotent of a slaave
